Digital Expressions: Trimester Reflection Questions

For your final assignment this trimester, you will need to complete a reflection about your experience and work produced in Digital Expressions. You have 2 choices for how you will deliver your reflection: video or written. Please look over the questions below before choosing the best way to answer them. This will count as a summative assessment and you will be assessed on how detailed and thoughtful your responses are.

Reflection Questions

1. What were you initial expectations about taking Digital Expressions? What were you expecting to learn or do? Did you have an opportunity to learn or use those skills this trimester?
2. Overall, what was your opinion about the podcasting project? Did you enjoy it or not? Why? 
3. Do you think it was a good choice to do the podcasting project first to teach students sound design skills or should another project be designed to do that? If so, what kind of project would your propose?
4. What was your biggest lesson or takeway from the podcasting project?
5. Overall, what was your opinion about the stop-motion project? Did you enjoy it or not? Why?
6. What was your biggest lesson or takeway from the stop-motion project?
7. What would you change about the stop-motion project for future Digital Expressions students? Why?

10. What would you change about the graphic design unit? Do you think it was a good unit to gain skills in graphic design or is better left for older students?

Options for Posting Reflection

Video Reflection:

1. Film within Quicktime, iMovie, or YouTube. 
1. You are allowed to film your reflection in the hallway or library if the classroom gets too loud. Please let our substitute know you will be filming, and return as soon as you are done.

Branding Design: Layout and Reflection

Reflection:

1. What is your logo of? How did you create it? Did you choose it from a website like Icon Monstr or design it yourself? How do you feel it best represents you?

2. Explain why you chose your colors for you brand. If you could give them personality traits, what would they be?

3. What made you choose your fonts for both the Mac and Google? Why do they appeal to you?

4. Overall, what kind of audience would you want to attract to your YouTube channel and school blog? Why? How do you think your logo and brand design would appeal to them?
